There are two ways to enter the Contest.
- Through any of the Regional or area pageants that are approved and licensed by Miss World New Zealand Limited.
- By invitation or mail in entry.
Invitation may be to any person from an area where we have no representation and meet the necessary requirements or have placed in a competition. If you wish to enter by this method then you must be able to find a suitable sponsor to cover your entry fee.
The entry fee, usually paid by a sponsor or by the Licence Holder of the provincial pageant goes to covering the cost of:
- Contestants accommodation and food for the week of the pageant.
- Production of the stage show.
- Costs related to sending contestants overseas to International Pageants
Contests are open to all New Zealand nationals.
The following conditions do apply:
- Contestants must be a New Zealand Citizen and have been a permanent resident in the country for 5 years.
- Must be between the age of 18 and 26 as at the 31st December in the year of the contest in which they wish to compete.
- Must never have been married or given birth to a child.
