Environmental

There has been much debate and news regarding Global Warming / Climate change.

The Miss World New Zealand/Miss Earth New Zealand Organisation is committed to protecting our environment, however we believe in a common sense approach.

For us we believe this starts at home and is an individual responsibility. With a growing population on the planet we are putting stress on our natural resources, ie. water, forests, land.

As a race we are great consumers and with that comes waste and if not managed correctly adds to pollution.

Do you Recycle your waste Paper, plastics, glass and metal cans etc?
Are you conservative in your use of Water, Energy?

The Earths Climate has been changing over millions of years and we are now in a warming cycle. The current debate is are we as humans having an effect on the climate? And are we able to make changes to influence or change the rate of global warming?

Below are links to web sites which give some of the facts related to Climate Change.
